  • Pete Weinman to participate in the High Rock Challenge, April 28, 2012. High Rock Challenge Adventure Race, Saturday, April 28, 2012The High Rock Challenge Adventure Race, held in memory of NYPD Officer John Kelly, was begun in 2001 when the New York Adventure Racing Association (NYARA) partnered with the Greenbelt Conservancy and New York City Parks to present the Greenbelt’s inaugural trail-running event. Although the first race exceeded our expectations and attracted over 100 runners, the 2011 race had 1038 registered runners and was sold out well in advance of race day.  Proceeds from the High Rock Challenge help support Greenbelt trail maintenance and environmental education programs.Interested? REGISTER HERE.
